Our Position

We work for the homeowner — not for a manufacturer.

WellInsight is an independent third-party consulting service for private well owners. We collect samples, coordinate certified laboratory analysis, interpret the findings, and explain what the data actually supports. We do not manufacture treatment equipment, we are not tied to any treatment brand, and we have no financial interest in whether you buy a system. Most homeowners spend money on treatment before they have a single defensible number about their water. Our purpose is to reverse that order.

Professional Sample Collection

Samples collected on site to laboratory protocol — correct containers, preservatives, hold times, and chain of custody. Collection error is the most common reason a well water result is wrong.

Certified Laboratory Analysis

Analysis performed by accredited laboratories using EPA and Standard Methods. Results are defensible, comparable, and accepted for real estate and lender requirements.

Report Interpretation

Complex laboratory data translated into plain language: what was found, what the reference value is, what it means for your household, and what — if anything — warrants action.

Water Treatment Guidance

If treatment is indicated, guidance is based solely on your laboratory findings and industry standards. We sell no equipment and take no manufacturer commissions.

Why WellInsight

The difference is who the test serves.

Traditional Water Treatment Company
  • Sells treatment equipment
  • May test only for the parameters its products address
  • Limited analytical scope
  • Brand-specific recommendations
  • Result doubles as a sales lead
WellInsight
  • Independent third party — no equipment sales
  • Comprehensive accredited laboratory analysis
  • EPA and Standard Methods reference values
  • Evidence-based, manufacturer-neutral recommendations
  • Clear written report and professional consultation
Consulting Packages

Choose by the question you need answered.

Each package is a scope of analysis, not a product. If you are not sure which applies, a short consultation is the fastest way to scope it correctly the first time.

Essential Insight
Is my water safe to drink right now?

Core health and sanitary screening — bacteria, nitrates, and primary chemistry. The baseline every private well owner should hold on file.

Advanced Insight LVL1
What is actually in my water, beyond the basics?

54-analyte panel covering metals, minerals, and general chemistry, interpreted against EPA reference values in an interactive report.

Advanced Insight LVL2
Is anything present that a standard panel would miss?

113-analyte expanded panel for households with unexplained staining, odor, corrosion, or geological risk factors specific to the region.

Advanced Insight LVL2 + Bacteria
Is my well sanitary and chemically sound?

The full 113-analyte panel paired with bacteriological analysis — the panel most often used for transactions and post-remediation verification.

Specialty Testing

Added to any package when site conditions, geology, or land use indicate a specific risk.

  • PFAS / PFOS
  • Radiological
  • Gross Alpha
  • Methane
  • VOC Expansion
  • Agricultural contaminants

A $55.00 on-site collection fee applies and is collected at the time of sampling. Laboratory results are typically returned within 5–10 business days. Single-analyte and custom scopes are available on request.

The Deliverable

A report you can actually read.

You do not receive a raw laboratory printout. You receive a structured water quality report written for the homeowner — every analyte plotted against its reference value, with the health significance explained in plain language.

  • Color-coded results
  • Health significance
  • EPA reference values
  • Charts and graphs
  • Educational explanations
  • Guidance where warranted
