Treatment Guidance

Treatment advice from the party that has nothing to sell you.

If your laboratory results indicate treatment is warranted, you deserve direction that comes from the data rather than from a catalog. WellInsight specifies what the findings support — contaminant, concentration, and proven reduction category — so you can hire an installer on your terms.

How guidance is developed.

No equipment sales

WellInsight does not manufacture, distribute, or install treatment equipment, and accepts no dealer commissions. Nothing in your report is influenced by a product line.

Data before hardware

Treatment is only discussed once an accredited laboratory has measured the water. Contaminant, concentration, and reference value come first; treatment category comes second.

Right-sized, not over-sized

Guidance is scoped to household demand, raw water chemistry, and the analytes actually detected — not to the largest system a quote can justify.

Written and comparable

You receive treatment direction in writing so competing quotes can be compared against the same documented requirement instead of against sales claims.

Often the answer is nothing

A significant share of the wells we test require no treatment at all. That finding is reported as plainly as any exceedance.

Verification afterward

If treatment is installed by a contractor of your choosing, post-treatment retesting confirms independently that the system performs as promised.

What findings typically point toward.

Bacteriological findings

Total coliform or E. coli presence typically points to disinfection and sanitary correction of the well itself. We explain the difference between a source problem and a distribution problem before any equipment is considered.

Hardness, iron, manganese, sulfur

Aesthetic and nuisance parameters with measurable thresholds. Guidance covers the treatment category the data supports, the maintenance burden each carries, and what happens if you do nothing.

Primary contaminants

Arsenic, lead, nitrate, and similar health-based parameters are assessed against EPA maximum contaminant levels, with the reduction technologies documented to address them at your measured concentration.

PFAS and specialty analytes

Where PFAS, radiologicals, methane, or VOCs are detected, guidance references the treatment approaches with published reduction performance for those specific compounds.
